"If he comes here," cried an angry hothead, "we'll crucify him again!".
This brings up an interesting problem:
If Jesus Christ is dead, how can they crucify him again? Where is the dead body after 2000 years? Even if found, would it be able to hang on the cross? Every other dead body turns to dust after a hundred years. So to crucify a long dead man would be a miracle indeed.
If Jesus Christ is alive, how can they crucify him again? Is it possible to kill a man the second time? Nobody has ever killed a man after living for 2000 years. Who can bring him down from heaven?
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: so Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." Hebrews 9:27,28

The prophet David wrote of Christ risen from the dead: "For thou will not leave my soul in hell; neither will thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. Thou will show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore." Psalm 16:10,11
The coming of the Lord Jesus Christ is the hope of the atolls. How is he coming? Today Jesus comes to every Dhivehi who welcomes him at home. Soon Jesus shall come in the clouds from heaven to rule and to judge the earth.
