How to Get Saved
How do I know for sure that I am going to heaven when I die? Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and ask him to save you. You must really mean it when you ask him to come into your heart. If you mean it when you ask Jesus you will have a home in heaven. If you are not 100% sure, you ask him again. You must believe that "all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23. This means we all have sinned or done wrong things.
God is perfect. He must punish sin. You cannot get to heaven by trying to be good. God and heaven are real. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
God gave us his commandments to show how sinful that we really are:
1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing.
3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain.
4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5. Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land.
6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
10. Thou shalt not covet ... any thing that is thy neighbour's. Exodus 20:3-17
Jesus died on the cross, and Jesus is very, very good to you. Jesus loves you. He made the bones in your body. The bad guys spit and hit Jesus. He died for you, and after three days and three nights, Jesus arose from the grave. He died for you and me. Believe on him, and he will save you.
Pray, and ask God to save you. You got to mean it though. You are going to die. Where would you go if you were to die today? Would you go to heaven, or would you go to hell? If you are saved you will go to heaven.
Death will visit everyone, even you! You could die before you even get finished reading this message. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23. We are not promised tomorrow. Right now is the time to ask the Lord to save you.
